Combinations : Particularly enjoyable as an aperitif, it is an ideal accompaniment to diced, sundried tomato and herb verrine and prawn skewers with basil and lime; it is also a sensational match for desserts such as summer berry minestrone.
Appearance : The colour is pink with salmon glints. Fine, light bubbles form a creamy ring of froth.
Fragrance : The nose is generous, intense and sophisticated and strongly marked by summer berry fruits (wild strawberries). It evokes an impression of jelly, redcurrant and almond. Notes of linden and hawthorn.
Taste : The attack is tangy, with good volume in the mouth. There are again notes of summer berry fruits (blackberry and black currants). The finish is generous and delicately spicy.
Blanc de Blancs
An eminent wine, with grilled fragrances and dry fruits notes. The spirit of elegance.
Combinations : A Champagne for great occasions. Our Blanc de Blancs Grand cru will also go well with numerous culinary delights such as a verrine of quinoa, pink prawns or a vegetable tartare with ginger, lemon flavoured crab flesh.
Appearance : A very pure yellow colour. The froth is made up of light bubbles forming a delicate ring.
Fragrance : The nose is intense with hints of citrus fruit combining admirably with floral notes (honeysuckle, acacia) and the first aromas of development and roasting.
Taste : Structured palate with great body. The minerality of these great Chardonnays blends perfectly with the dried fruit (apricot) and honeyed hints that appear in mid palate. The finish is fresh, tenacious and airy.
Grape Varieties: Brachetto 100%.
Production Technique: Cold red-grapes skin contact for 4 to 5 days allows the wine to develop its characteristic colour, aroma and complexity. The wine is then filtered and stored at 0°C. Refermentation follows in stainless steel tanks in the Strevi cellars, where this special wine achieves its final sweetness and sparkling chatacter.
Colour: light ruby red. Lively pink mousse with a persistent perlage.
Bouquet: intense, aromatic, varietal with hints of Bulgarian rose.
Taste: soft and elegant with berry flavours and a touch of almond and nutmeg.
Winemaker's Note: A soft red sparkling wine, made from Brachetto. This extremely aromatic, complexand historical grape variety grows only in the area of Acqui Terme, in Southern Piedmont. The cold maceration of the grapes, followed by a soft pressing, allows the extraction of thetypical intense aromas from the skins and gives to the wine its characteristic light ruby redcolour. Very pleasant and extremely elegant.
Food Pairings: This wine matches perfectly with fresh strawberries, fruit cakes, fruit salads, pastries and chocolates. An ideal aperitif as well.
